Calculations stay on your device

Every calculator, converter and solver on MathVault runs as JavaScript in your browser. The numbers you type are not sent to a server. There are no accounts, no ads and no advertising trackers.

What is stored in your browser

To save you retyping, MathVault keeps a few things in your browser’s localStorage, on your device only:

• the scientific calculator’s last 25 calculations (the tape), memory value, last answer and degree/radian mode;
• the last data set you entered in the statistics calculators.

AI explanations (optional)

The “Explain step by step” button is the one feature that sends data. When you press it, the problem text and the calculated result are sent to our server and on to an AI model through Vercel AI Gateway to write the explanation. We do not store these requests or use them to identify you. Don’t include personal information in a problem.

Analytics

We use Ahrefs Web Analytics to count page views. It is cookieless and does not collect personal data or track you across sites.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Vercel, which processes standard request logs (such as IP address and user agent) to deliver pages and protect against abuse.
